Great product, maybe even the best - BUT...

These hooks are well made, comfortable to wear, and the 'wide' design is unlike any other hook on the market, allowing a true 'thumbless grip' feel to your pulling work, which is how I train even when I don't use the hooks - it seems to target the lats harder, and the shoulders less. I also own the 'professional' model - I prefer these, as I find these less cumbersome, easier to put on and remove, more functional (I'd never use the regular strap option if I'm being honest, and find that they just get in the way), and as previously mentioned, the grip comfort is fantastic. HOWEVER - and unfortunately, this is a rather big and scathing 'however,' I take great exception to the fact that none of the models being sold come with the 'optional' gripper tubes, despite the notably high price tag. It's not really an 'option' as far as I'm concerned - if you intend to use these hooks, and don't want metal on metal contact damaging your bars, of course you have to have them. I am not usually this candid, but I hate it when sellers pull this kind of stuff. The exceptional load ratings, the lifetime warranty, the comfort, craftsmanship, and durability could arguably justify these hooks costing twice as much as the competition. But when the 'optional gripper tubes' alone cost 2/3s of what the competitors charge for actual hooks, some of which have hefty load ratings and already come with gripper tubes of their own (!), I simply cannot reconcile this - it feels like a slap in the face to the customer, as if you're being nickeled and dimed, just because you can be. Perhaps there's a legit reason for doing it this way from LPGMuscle's perspective, but that's how it looks and feels on this end - there's no reality where $16 for 4 pieces of latex feels like a fair deal. So, I have to subtract a star for this reason. It's not a question of quality - there's no denying that this a top notch product - it's a question of value.
